From the Latin for 'olive tree', a symbol of peace and new life. The Holy Hieromartyr Olbianos, Bishop of Anaea, courageously refused to offer sacrifice to false gods during the reign of Emperor Maximian, and was cast into fire together with his disciples in the year 301.
